Question:
what dr in houston does revisions??? specifically the The Sapala-Wood Micropouch Roux

surgery?? people have told me the dr ferrari does them on patients who have already had the rny..but i called them and they said no..where can i find a dr??    — tylerswife (posted on October 12, 2004)

They said no that Dr. Ferrari does not do revisions or that no he does not do the Micropouch? He did my revision, but he was also my original surgeon, so that may be why. If you have not done so already, please look into joining the Yahoo Revision group (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WLSrevisionsupport/) You might have to look into traveling, especially if you want the micropouch. I don't think any surgeons here in Houston do that. Good Luck.

Dr. Steven Glorsky did my revision, but not familiar with your type of surgery.

Dr. Ferrari does do revisions (or at least did!). He revised me from a VBG in which he was NOT the original surgeon to a proximal, transected RNY in 5/2000. I love the man to death. I do not know offhand of any area surgeons doing the micropouch so I'd have to second Ali's suggestion to go to the revision board and ask there. Good luck!
