Yeah, it's possible. Someone who isn't losing well could have a revision to
a more distal bypass. I've also heard of people with a transected RNY
getting revised to a duodenal switch.

Hi Rebecca,
Yes, it is possible. You can even speak to several who have had it done,
if you go over to the Yahoo group at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DS_Revision/ - the archives are wonderful
over there!
According to the research that I've done, it seems that Dr. Ara Keshishian
is the leader in performing these. His contact info is: Ara Keshishian,
MD, FACS (E-mail: [email protected])
Contact: Dawn Keshishian, RN or Dee Tinkle, LVN; Phone: 661-725-4847;
Delano Regional Medical Arts Building

Yes. You can even have your RNY revised to a different RNY. You can go
more distal or more proximal, have your pouch rebuilt or have other repairs
made. And I'd send you to the Grad list to ask about those kind.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG ... I've hosted several people
who have had older transected RNY's revised for one reason or another.
