Question:
Do timed-release medications work for us now?
I just had a laporoscopy on tuesday and my ob/gyn prescribed 20 mg oxycontin every 12 hours. This is a timed-release medication, and I'm finding that it's not working very well for me. After RNY, do timed-release medications not work anymore? — Christine L. (posted on October 3, 2002)

have your doctor write a script for liquid oxycontin.
this is the one my doctor sends home with all his patients.
you will probably have to get it from a hospital pharmacy, unlikely your
local store will carry it, but they can order it--that would order it for
you too...

No, time released medications do not work for WLS people.
