Question:
This is for all the wls experts out there..I need to know how much I should be eating
at a time..I used to only be able to eat 1 bite at atime and now its like I can eat maybe 5 or 6 bites of something..I know I must be doing something right cause I am losing like crazy but it scares me a little cause I am afraid I will start eating like before..I Guess I need a little reassurance.. — tylerswife (posted on April 17, 2002)

You don't say how long post-op you are. As your new pouch heals and the
swelling goes down you will be able to eat a little bit more. This is a
natural progession, which is why they tell you that your window of
opprotunity exist for 12 to 18 months, on average. Your pouch will stretch
some over time and your weight lose will slow down. It is the fastest in
the first 4 to 5 months post-op. Always stop eating immedialty when you
feel full. If you are concerned you are eating too much, go back to
measuring your food.
