Question:
OK...I had my appt with my surgeon, everything has been sent off to

AETNA PPO...Can someone please tell me how to handle waiting for the insurance approval? It was faxed to them just yesterday, and I am such a nervous wreck!! I heard from my surgeon's office in less than a week that I had been approved w/ Aetna. Give it a week, I bet it'll take them less than that. If you don't hear by then, I would call the surgeon's office, and Aetna.

I would suggest that you call the insurance company and ask them how long it takes to get aproval for this type of procedure. I called my insurance company and found out that it is procedure to get back to the patient within 48 hours of receiving the paperwork. It's worth a call for your peace of mind.
