Question:
What has been the experience of those who have had a fobi pouch procedure?

I cant answer your question from personal experience, but everywhere I researched before my RNY procedure, I was told the Fobi procedure had a far less sucess rate and could actually be dangerous..Just seems strange to me that HE is the only Dr doing "his" procedure

Actually, Dr. Fobi is not the ONLY Dr. that does the procedure. Dr. Husted in Nashville, TN also does it.

Dr. Otteman in Ft. Collins, CO also does the RNY with a Fobi ring.

I have the fobi pouch and am 6 month post op. I went to Dr. Fobi himself. It funny how people have their opinions about different types of WLS. All I can say is I know several people that went to Dr. Fobi up to 10 yrs post-op and they have no problems what so ever. I really think success is related to how determined you are & to EATing well.
