Question:
I have a question for post-op!!
When you go out to a gathering or a buffet where they serve various foods, are your eyes bigger than your stomach? Do you tend to put more on your plate than you can eat? — Sharon T. (posted on July 7, 2000)

This is still tough 11 mos. post-op and 158lbs. lighter.
I still put too much on my plate. I do have to remind myself
that that's enough. Fortunately my new stomach tells me when
enough is enough. I suppose some habits are harder to break than others.
At times I just hand my wife my plate and she knows I'm done. If I keep
the plate in front of me I will tend to pick at it while it's there.

Hi. Yes I always end up with more food than I can eat. Be prepared to
trash food like a maniac. It is the only way to survive. The reason I
end up with too much food, is I like to take 1 bite of this and 1 bite of
that for variety. When you spoon on plate, no matter how hard I try, I
always get too much. But it is better in my opinion not to get bored with
food and to go for variety. Also, I am always on a quest for protein
because I still have trouble with meat. LOL Beth
