Does any female notice increase in hunger while taking birth control pills?

Has any notice increase in hunger while taking birth control pills?It seems everytime I start a new pack after my period I want to eat everything in sight.    — tpajeski (posted on March 26, 2003)

I'm on the pill, and the weekend before I get my period I feel like I eat constantly. Just about every month, on that Sunday night, I panic and think wow, I'm not using my tool - look at all the grazing I've done. Then I realize its part of PMS. And by Thursday I have it and I drop 3 lbs in a day or two from the water weight going away.

I am glad I am not the only one. I am 7 months postop and find that about 7 days before my period I am craving salty and then sweet. I do graze during that week and then my period starts and everything gets back to normal. I definately wouldn't want to chance not taking the pill to see if things were different. My surgeon says to avoid pregnancy for 2 years, so I guess I will deal with the increased hunger.
