I was discharged from the hospital 2 days after my lap RNY and was
instructed to resume my pre-op medications as usual - both in tablet and
capsule form. I had been given pain medication in tablet form beginning
the day after surgery and had no problems with that or any medications
post-op. Good luck!

capsule form and pain meds in liquid form. But, I have not had any problems

I've had no problem taking capsules since right after surgery. One
caution, however: DON'T take more than one at a time. The other night I
took two capsules right after one another and thought I was going to die
from the pain. Ouch! Now I try to space them by about 20 minutes.
