Question:
Has anyone had Dr. Grant at Duke? And if so, did you have a high BMI?

I haven't had a chance to meet with Dr Grant yet, still working on initial insurance approval. But, I am curious to know about good or bad experiences with him, and do you have a high BMI. My BMI is 78.1...and I am worried this might hamper my chances for surgery (of course, if I could lose weight, I wouldn't need the surgery!)    — Pamela P. (posted on August 15, 2001)

Yes-- I had Dr. Grant and his team in 2005. They were exactly what one would wish for. Serious, careful, kind, complete. I didnt have a high BMI- dont remember exactly. I was 110 pounds overweight. I lost 100. Have kept 80 off five years later. Bless you.
