Question:
I found a new (to me) protein bar

Today, while shopping at WalMart, I found a new, at least to me, protein bar and it tastes really good! It's called EAS Advant Edge Carb Control Nutrition Bar. All they had left was the lemon cheesecake flavor. I believe it also comes in an apple spice flavor and one other that I can't remember. It contains 26 grams of protein, 1 gram sugar, 2.5 grams of carbs and 210 calories, 45 of which are fat. I personally can't stand the faux chocolate protein bars. I thought this was really yummy and I can't wait to try the other flavors. Oh, it cost only $1.67 at my Wal Mart in California.    — Sharyle L. (posted on August 2, 2001)

I tried those a couple weeks ago. They looked really good. However, I found they left an awful aftertaste in my mouth. I think it will be the same as with all the other protein supps. Some people will like them, some won't. Unfortunately I was one who didn't. I was disappointed because the price was right and they are low in sugar. :( But I just didn't like the way they made my mouth feel afterwards......

One of the other flavors is blueberry. I have tried a lot of different protein bars too and these were among the few that I actually could stand the taste. ( I am pretty picky). But we all are different and some of the ones other folks have really liked I couldn't stand.

Sharyle, sounds good! I have been having the "Pure Protein" brand but it has too many carbs (no sugar but like 12 carbs). I'm going to try this brand (although I like the faux chocolate :-)
