Question:
Hello! I have searched the database & haven't quite found what I'm
looking for. I have been on the pre-op diet which is required by my Dr. I started out at 245 & am now down to 210. My surgery is still 6 wks away. It is my goal to be under 200 for surgery- just to make it that much easier on me. Anyway, I was wondering how quickly did the weight come off for those of you that started right around 200? I expect that I won't lose 30lbs the first month like alot of people do... the reason I'm concerned is that I know the majority get a little depressed for a while after surgery & I don't want an extremely slow weight loss to make me that much more depressed. (I'm already taking 100mg of Zoloft daily) I hope I am making sense- any insight you have is greatly apprectiate. Tks, Steph — sgeisendorff (posted on June 6, 2001)

From what I have read the minimum BMI is 35 with comorbs. So 36 is okay.
