While I don't live in Michigan, I did a little research for you. Go to the top of any page and click on the "insurer" link. Then click on your state, Michigan and you will get an alphabetical listings of insurance companies that members have dealt with. There are a ton of listings for this insurance --Just keep scrolling down, sometimes they appear out of order. Their e-mail addresses are also available for you to ask specific questions. The good news is that almost everyone was approved!! Hope this helps! Shelley

I have BCBS of Michigan PPO. I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I did have to pay the surgeon's "program fee" which is a fair and just amount covering post operative care that is not paid for by insurance ahead of time, but I was able to write it off on my taxes as a medical expense. Hope this helps...
