Question:
why? do many people go through hair loss after wls.

i am concerding wls. i have been reading what others have gone through. they are happy /but/ are lossing hair? i don't have a problem with it /but/ my wife does. thanks h.s.    — [Anonymous] (posted on March 24, 2001)

Hair loss occurs for many patients between 3 and 9 months post-op, but not all. This is not a permanent hair loss - it grows back. The body shifts its focus from non-essential matters (like hair) to more critical issues (like healing from surgery and dealing with rapid weight loss). As long as you maintain good nutrition, it will come back! - Kate -
