Question:
AH&L Insurance, Does anyone know if this insurance will cover sugical weight loss?

My insurance is through AH&L (medical resource network)I am looking for someone who has dealt with this insurance. I want to have lap-gastric banding. Any info will be appreciated.    — Tina W. (posted on March 23, 2001)

I had AH&L (but on ONeHealthPlan). WLS was not an exclusion, so they paid for my revision. If you mean the adjustable band, it's not FDA approved in this country yet, so no, they wouldn't pay for that. If you mean VBG, some ins are starting to refuse to pay for that because of the high failure rate. I know they paid for my revision of my RNY without blinking an eye.
