Has anyone had the Lap RNY with Dr. Michael Schwartz in Minnesota

If you had this procedure with Dr. Michael Schwartz, do you have to get an epideral? The whole idea of it scares me to death. Is there another option when you have Dr. Schwartz as your surgeon at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Mpls., MN? Also, did you meet with a pain-management team prior to your surgery?    — Andrea H. I don't know when you posted this question, but I just had the lap rny with Dr. Schwartz. I did not have an epidural, just went to sleep. There was no pain management team either. Surgery went wonderful. Shari
