Question:
denied for lack of comorbidities

Hi, I found out today that I was denied due to lack of comorbidities, and I would greatly appreciate any info from someone who has been in my shoes.What did you include in your appeal? I feel very discouraged. I will appeal the denial, but I don't know if I can get any documentation that will make much of a difference. I really got my hopes up after reading posts from so many people that had no other health issues, and were approved by tricare!!    — Kristi S. (posted on August 1, 2000)

Hang in there. Make a list of any co-morbidities your close relatives may have as well. I have seen cases where patients are given the ok based on their strong family history of diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
