Question:
Anyone used Metabolife post-op to get over plataeu's?
Anyone with input?? Seems to help during really slow periods. I'm 13 months post-op and loosing really slow. Doc said it's because I was already doing most of the right stuff pre-op. Exercise, healthy food etc. I just eat too much at times of stress. The surgery did it's magic but even though I can't and don't eat nearly as much as I used to, I still have 50= lbs to goal and I'm afraid my windoe will close before I get even close. — jiggers (posted on July 10, 2000)

I would llike to here any answers to this question myself. I was afraid the
pills would be too big to go through. I have a ring so I would have to chop
up the pills I guess

Once again I'm responding to an old post, but if I'm looking back through,
maybe others are too. I must comment on using Metabolife. I'm pre-op but
the advice is for everyone. Don't be misled by the words
"herbal" and "natural". I used Metabolife for about 18
months. I did feel like I was doing better but didn't actually lose
weight. Metabolife contains ephedra. I've been told it's not the
"bad" kind of ephedra but it still concerns me. I'm sure it's
hard to be where the questioner was and seeing a closing window. However,
the gimmicks that didn't work pre-op probably aren't the best thing to
start trying post-op. If you do try Metabolife, really monitor yourself.
If you start feeling like you're taking speed, it's because you are. If it
isn't really helping you to lose, maybe it's not worth the risks. My
surgeon ordered me to never take an ephedra product again. He said I'm
better off fat than crazy or dead. Of course, that's just my opinion, I'm
not a medical expert.
