Question:
Has anyone taken small quantities(1/2tab) Metabalife to help post-op.
I'm 13 months post-op and my weight loss has slowed to 2-3 lbs per month. I'm exercising and eating well and drinking my water, but need to get off 30-40 more pounds to get out of the obese range. I feel great but can't jog yet cause I'm too heavy still. Don't want my window to close without getting as low as I can. I've tried the metabalife and it seems to help but I don't want to make trouble for myself later. I just still have a big appitite, even for celery or protien shakes. My Doc says I'm losing slow because I was doing most of the right things before the surgery(exercise, diet, etc.) I eat WAY less now, but need to get more off before I quit. Any advice?? — jiggers (posted on June 27, 2000)

My pcp is wanting to put me on Meridia but I am holding off. She said that
taking something to help with the head hunger would probably be the best
thing to help us succeede if we needed any extra help.

Don't give up! You had the surgery to avoid all those other gimmicks,
right? Hang in there, please. Take care & keep us posted...

I found that I can keep the hungries away by taking a vitamin & mineral
suppliment I found through [email protected] I take the
recommended daily amount and on bad days I will double it and no more
hungries and lots of energy.

I have tried lots of things since my surgery 3 years ago, but have found
the thing that is working to lose the extra pounds is a low carb diet.
Works for me
Good luck
