Question:
What are the symptoms of a staple line disruption??

I'm 2.5 years out - in addition to being able to eat ALOT more & gaining weight, I've had incredible heartburn that can no longer be controlled by Nexium. Is this a possible sign? I've been telling myself that the being able to eat more and weight gain is just a sign my body is adjusting like it's supposed to. I have an appt with my Dr in a few weeks to schedule a scope, but I was wondering are there any additional symptoms of a SLD? Thanks alot for all of your help~    — jengrz (posted on May 25, 2005)

For me, sudden heartburn..... how could acid get into my esophagus if there had not been a compromise? And I could eat gradually more, but I was also 5 yrs out, so it was normal to eat slightly more.
