Question:
Looking for a Dr./Surgeon who accepts Medicaid for office visits.

I know Medicare will pay for the hospital, after a $300+ co-payment. But, I need a Dr./Surgeon who accepts Mediaid for the office visits. The Medicare does me no good at all if I cannot afford to go thru all the pre-op visits and tests. Dr. Black of Anniston does not accept Medicaid...bummer! I want off the disability...I want to find a JOB!...I NEED this surgery. HELP!    — Janet S. (posted on March 25, 2005)

Hi Janet, I live near Dothan..had my surgery in Dothan with Dr. Steven Fendley at Wiregrass Surgical Associates. He accepted my Medicare. Never paid a dime. Email me if you'd like and I will give you his phone #. I am done to goal and have been since 8 months out of surgery. Cindy

Hi Janet, I have a girlfriend here in huntsville who just had the surgery about a month and 1/2 ago -- she has medicade also --she used Dr. Malapur -- I don't know his number but he is out of Huntsville hospital - so maybe you can look it up on line -- I don't know how far you want to travel --but I hope this helps - May God continue to bless you --
