Question:
what will weight loss pills do to you now?
I was wondering what would happen to you if you take weight loss pills after you have had surgery? — Lovett (posted on June 30, 2004)

Hi, I read your profile and it looks like u have been doing great on your
weightloss congrats!!! I wouldn't advise taing weightloss pills to get off
those extra# but6 it said in your profile that u need to lose only 5 more #
until goal, so just try to eat less calories to see if that helps or u
might need to up the calories depends on how much u are getting in now, I
ahve about 10# more until goal too so am trying diff things, butI wouldn't
try those diet pills they are not good for our system after surgery, maybe
also try the atkins diet or the south beach diet to help! Are u having any
problem with gaining weight right now, or do u just want to get the 5# off?
Good luck to u! take care!

I did the south beach diet lost 7 lbs in 7 days. I felt it was much more
healthier than Atkins. way less fat. I did good until I started eathing bad
carbs again. so I went back on it. and now eat much healthier carbs whole
grains only. no white flour or white sugar. and have lost more. I'am
making healthier choises after Wls. and even more since reading the south
beach. Ive been afraid to do the pills cause I dont know what they will do
go my stomach. and most sound too good to be true. Ive heard if it sounds
too good it usually is too good to be true. I have 10 lbs till I get to my
personal goal. I bounce up and down 2-3 lbs when not on the south beach. I
know eventually it will come off. try the south beach. they give you more
than you can eat on it. a lot of co-workers who are RN's are on it with
good results. good luck.

Diet pills, unless they are FDA approved and prescribed by her doctor (not
an internet one), should be avoided by pretty much everyone. Even though
ingredients are listed on the bottle, few of us know what those ingredients
REALLY are or how they can affect you. Don't get me wrong...I've done my
share of diet drugs. Most of that over-the-counter stuff was a waste of
money. Why risk serious health problems on something that probably won't
work?
