Question:
Is anyone still dumping after 2 years??

I just wanted to know if I was the only one still dumping after almost 2 years post-op, I ate a donut yesterday and could not move for 45 minutes and had the same hot flashes from early on when surgery started. Or do you think it could be something else???    — Lovett (posted on March 26, 2004)

Hallelujah! You're dumping still works. Good for you! I'm only 17 mos, but I still dump something fierce, if I get out of line.

Queen-O-Dumping here. My 2 year anniversary will be May 9 and I dump on almost everything that isn't absolutely 100% healthy. Even fruit nearly kills me. I ate a raisin - ONE STINKIN RAISIN - the other day and thought I was going to die. Thank God I still dump. I call it my own personal carbo-cop.

I'll be 2 years post on May 20 and I still "DUMP" on several foods. I feel very lucky to have this reminder. I had a double hernia repair/tummy tuck 2 weeks ago and I feel great. Maybe the hernia repair will help clear some of my discomfort. Susy

Seventeen months out and I still dump-- particularly if I drink a sugared juice (by mistake). As a result, it's been easy to stay away from sweets.

Yes. 9.5 yrs and I still dump. It takes more, because my tolerance is up, but I still do. And if I lower my tolerance again, I will do it sooner. My husband is a year behind me and he also still does. Good thing we do. Carbo-cop! GOOD TERM! I need all the help I can get!

25+ months out and I will dump if I WAY over do it. It's rare that I push myself that far, but I will dump on large amounts of sugar. Ben and Jerry's does it every time.

I am 3 years post-op and still get it. Watch the pattern cause it may only happen with certain foods.

I still dump too. Doesn't happen daily = maybe once a week or every other week. I've learned my limitations!! It at least tells me the surgery is still working!!

Thank God Yes!!!!! Almost 3years PO (4-9-01) Sugar is bad, Oh My God< I still want to die. But it is this wonderful knowledge that I'll be soooo sick that keeps me completely away from sugar, because I still have the same brain that got me to 360lbs. Thanks God my stomach no longer listens to my brain!!!!It also keeps me from eating too fast or too much at once. IT WORKS!!!

4/15/04 - I celebrate 2 yr. anniv., 5/1 and still dump. I dump on sweets over 4 pieces or a wedge of a cake and on my lunch or dinner. After I eat, I immediately feel that pressure to go to the bathroom. I like that check/ It help to keep me in line. However if I overeat, I get the hot flash sick feeling, heart palpatation, overall sick for up to 30 mins., I literally cannot move.
