I LOVE the Nectars especially Strawberry Kiwi. My second favorite is Whey
Fruity Lemonade I mix it with Crystal Light Lemonade or Minute Maid
Light...tastes so Lemonade-y!! :) (shake it up well otherwise it gets
lumpy)
These two have become my staples and they are both so tasty and so light
(no thick ickyness)...that I have NO trouble getting my protein in since
they came along!

Unjury tastes yummy, just like chocolate milk. They have vanilla and
unflavored also. The unflavored is completely tastesless and non-clumpy.
They sell samples and ship fast. unjury.com

i had the same problem too post-op. the only flavor that i like is
chocolate and the only thing chocolate about some of the shakes was the
fact that they were brown hahaha. i did find one i like alot designer
protein at GNC. i don't like my mixed by itself. i put it in a blender with
lots of ice(like a frozen shake). i really like to put some smuckers sugar
free peanut butter in it(adds 9 grams protein). another favorite is to add
sugar free international coffee mixes in the can to the shake
also....tastes like a fancy frozen coffee.

My favorite is Champion Nutrition's Pure Whey Stack in the chocolate. I
just use a shaker cup and a few ounces of water. It mixes well and isn't
thick or gritty at all. If I'm in a rush and don't have time to mix a
shake, I'll grab a Worldwide Pure Protein shake.

I like the Optimum Nutrition in the chocolate. Tastes great & isn't
real pricey either. It's great mixed with milk & ice with a hand
blender....almost tastes like a real shake! Not crazy about the strawberry
but the vanilla is ok with syrups.

I like Isopure zero carb. It tastes like Kool ade, to me anyway. I can't
tolerate the milky shakes. Isopure zero carb is 40gr of protien in a 20oz
bottle. It is a little pricey but, it's the only one I can drink so, it's
worth it. I get it at Vitamin Shoppe. :-)

The only one i love is Atkins creamy vanilla. It is pre mixed, and it
taste great. It can be pricey, but it is worth it.

ProScore 100 in chocolate. Drinking one right now, as a matter of fact. You
can get samples from vitalady.com for $1.99. I also like the Whey Fruity in
Tropical Punch. I get that one from bariatriceating.com.

So far the only one I've been able to choke down is the Unjury. vanilla.
it's {to my taste buds anyways} too sweet but it's not chalky or thick.
I'm trying the chocolate next.
good luck

I'm 3 weeks post op and I'm having the same problem. I tried so many
pre-op and thought I had found one that I could tolerate, but post op, I
can't stand the smell (Unjury unflavored). I'm going to send them back and
ask for one each of the chocolate and vanilla and see what comes out of
that. I've been living off of the Atkins shakes, but they're too strong on
their own, so I mix them with 1/2 cup of lactaid milk. It just kills the
taste a little.

Hi, I use Zero Carb Isopure. It contains 40 grams of whey protein isolate.
It comes in 20 oz bottles. I drink 10 oz in morning & 10 oz in
afternoon. Energy levels & labs are great, plus I really enjoy drinking
them. Judy

To be honest, I got so tired of protein drinks that I started using the
liquid protein (like cher amino). I admit it tastes horrible, but so is
most types of medicines. I chase it with some type of liquid. I find it
to be the fastest way to get in my protein.

I didn't like any until I found Unjury. The vanilla is way too sweet for
me. I mix the chocolate with skim milk and put it in the freezer for about
an hour. I mix the unflavored with orange juice and also put it in the
freezer. They mix easy, are not gritty and are very good!

They way I got down protein shakes was to hold my breath when I was
drinnking them. I would not breath through my nose the entire time untill I
was done, then flush my mouth out with SF koolaid or Crystal Light. I
still hold my breath, but I CRAVE them. Wierd to crave something you have
to hold your nose to drink.

I am hooked on the Carb Solutions High Protein Drink--Rich Chocolate
flavor, in the ready to drink cans. They sell them in 4 packs and I have
seen them priced from $3.50 (on sale) to $7.00 depending on where you shop.
They have 21 grams of protein per 1 can serving.

You know I must have the tastebuds from Hell. I have tried all of the
below protein shakes pre mixed and not and they all suck. The only one I
have even been able to halfway tolerate is the Adkins Advantage shake in
chocolate. That new low carb Slimfast is about the nastiest thing I have
had in years as is the one by Dr. Phil. It is so thick it will actually
make you gag. The best thing I have found to work is mixing unflavored
protein powder with 4 oz of no sugar added ice cream and 2 oz of fat free
milk in the blender. It makes a really good milkshake and you can put as
many scoops of protein as you need because you can't taste it. It is really
good. The one I use (Beneprotein) has 7 grams of protein per scoop and I
use 2 scoops in each shake. I promise you it is much tastier than anything
else you will try. Let me know if you like it. SB Open RNY 11/26/03
