Question:
I gained 3 pounds this week and haven't changed my diet at all.....
I'm 3 months post-op and have been following the high protein-low carb diet to a tee!! When I weighed this morning I was up 3 pounds from last week. How could this be?? I make sure I eat all my protein & keep my carbs under 15 grams a day. Always get my water in. How can someone gain from eating like this?? Thanks for any input!! Could it be water retention? Maybe eat something too salty yesterday?
Close to "that" time of the month? Does anyone but you use the
scale? I find that someone is always tinkering with mine. I have to be
sure and set it properly before each weigh in. Just a few thoughts.

Whenever this happens to me, now I know it's water wt. so I just take a
water pill, a lot of time your food may had a lot of sodium in it. causing
this.

PMS, or water weight or gained muscle. Maybe all 3?

It happens and will happen from time to time on your weight loss journey.
I used to gain 2 pounds all the time, then the following week, that 2 would
be gone and an additional 2. I, too, would look in amazement at the scale,
knowing I was being "good" and yet seeing a gain...don't get
discouraged. Its very temporary....

Michelle ~ this happens to me all the time! Especially when I am PMSing!
Just drink, drink, drink that water! Don't worry!

This month I gained 7 pounds before my period!!!! I was totally freaking
out but when it was over the weight was gone. Don't worry. Make sure that
you are getting plenty of water.
