Question:
please explain the numbers refering to weight loss etc.
I can't seem to figure out the three sets of numbers people post after their name when they sign off. I know it has to do with original weight, and the goal and the amount lost, but it just doesn't always figure out so would some one please explain the three sets of numbers and what they actually mean? Thanks. open distal RNY 8/19/03 — sissie S. (posted on August 30, 2003)

For most it is exactly what you describe, I am not sure what you mean by
"it doen't figure out". For others they post their RNY date.

Hi. I think it is their starting weight/current weight/goal weight. I may
be wrong but that is what they do in weight watchers.

Thanks for asking this question... I always wondered, too... and I know
what you mean by "figuring out" -- I think... if you subtract
their second number from their first, you get a strange number sometimes! I
think that happens when people just type too fast! LOL My Starting weight:
378, weight lost: 212, goal weight: 140 would read 378/212/140 It looks
like I currently weigh 212, doesn't it! LOL!! oh well! We try!! :~)

I think most people use the numbers as starting weight/current weight/goal
weight, but others do as Sharon B indicated, and use the middle number to
indicate the amount lost. I think most people list the amount of weight
lost separately, and precede it with a minus sign. Lap RNY 4/1/03:
290/208/168, -82.
