Question:
I had my TT 4 weeks ago, I had to have 2 units of blood and still have my drains in.
I am planning to go to disney world the first week of October. At this point I am so tired, swollen, sore and inactive, I don't know if I will be able to do it. It is still two months off. Do those of you who have had a TT think I will be recovered enough to enjoy myself, or should I postpone it?? Thanks, Kathy — kathleen S. (posted on August 5, 2003)

I had my drains in for nearly 2 months and felt pretty wiped out during
that time. I didn't get back any energy until around 3 months post-op but
then I'd also had a breast reduction and am 54 years old. It is pretty
much an individual thing and hopefully things will work out for you. Good
luck,

I know exactly how you feel. I had my TT on April 29th. At four weeks I
felt the same way. At two months post op I was feeling much better and I
was jet skiing through the Bahamas with Peter Herida. By October you will
be feeling great and will be able to have a great time at Disney. Say hi
to Goofy for me, he is my favorite.

Hi..You can rent all kinds of scooters and wheelchairs at Disney. Don't
worry. If you aren't feeling 100%, there is always another way. Also, they
have a great first aid type office there, and I think it is staffed with
EMTs. Good luck..MJ

Be sure your aren't taking any natural products that may be blood thinners.
After my hysterectomy and abdominoplasty I had trouble with getting the
fluids to stop accumulating and found that an immune booster I was taking
had garlic and ginger in it, both blood thinners.
