Question:
at 5'5

I am 19 days away from surgery and can not find any others with apporx. weight/height as me. Would like to know GENERALLY how my weightloss is going to go...    — tia S. (posted on July 30, 2003)

first time I have asked a qwuestion and some how messed it up.... Question was that at 5'5" 211 lbs, I need information on people about my size to give me some standard ideas as how they did with surgery... please help anyone.....

Well, I'm 5'6" and I wieghed 300lbs pre op and a medium frame. I'm also have a triangular shape (wider shoulders, narrow hips). Now, I'm 160lbs and in a size 8 from a 26. I did have my PS and that took off 10lbs to get me to the 160. Pre PS, I was 170 and a size 10. You can check out my profile. The recent pic is pre PS.

Tia, you are having trouble finding people with your stats because most people with a BMI of 35, which is what you have, were unable to qualify for weight loss surgery. My BMI was right at 40, and I expected that my weight loss would be slower than most. However, due to emphasizing protein mostly, exercise, etc. I reached goal (and then blew right past it) in about 10 months. Good luck to you. hugs, Ann rny 9/10/99 260/124

I am 5'5" and started out at 245... I am 7 1/2 months out and now weigh 155... a loss od 90 pounds so far. My friend started out at 5'0" and about 212... she is down to 120 at 8 1/2 months out. Hope this helps you.

Hi, Tia Im 5'5, i weight pre-op 260lbs, im 5 months post-op and i weigh 197lbs, i lost 63lbs.
