Question:
can a few people give me a pretty detailed diet of what

Hi there. I am about 7 1/2 months out and am eating pretty much what I was
eating at 6 months. My doctor doesn't want us getting protein from sources
other than food, so I don't use protein shakes or bars. He also only wants
us eating three meals per day. Your surgeon's instructions may be different
and you should follow those. Here's my diet. For breakfast, I will have one
of the following: 1/2c lo-fat cottage cheese with 2 strawberries; 1 slice
whole wheat toast and 1 poached egg; or 1 egg cheese omelet. For lunch, one
of the following: 1/2 can tuna on salad; 1 slice wheat bread with 3 oz fat
free Jennie-O turkey breast; or 1 slice wheat bread with 3 oz ham. Note
that if I have bread at breakfast, I don't eat bread at lunch also - I keep
to one slice per day. For dinner, 5 oz of one of the following:
cheeseburger (no bun) with tomato; steak; chicken breast; salmon; shrimp;
or pork chops. Additionally, with dinner I'll have 1/4 cup sugar snap peas,
string beans, brocolli, or salad. If I get hungry waiting for dinner to
cook, I'll have a few almonds. This adds up to about 70 g protein and about
20-30 g of carbs. I also get about 80 oz of water and my vitamins and
exercise about 4 times per week. I'm down 105 so far. I hope this helps.

At six months out, I ate about 1000 calories a day, broken down to about 40
percent protein, 40 percent carbs, and 20 percent fat (tracked on
fitday.com). I used (and still use) protein shakes, plus protein foods
like egg beaters with (fat-free) cheese, turkey pepperoni, cereal with half
a banana (yes, carbs! and I lived), veggie burgers, tofu cheese, small
amounts of various fruits and veggies, Lean Cuisine mac&cheese or
ravioli (as side dishes only, and then, only half or a third of a portion,
after eating protein first).

Hi. I'm 8 mo. out - eat what I ate at 6mo out. Down 135+ lbs, about 50 to
go.
BREAKFAST:1/2c. cttg chz+1/2 c yogurt mixed, or 2 bacon pcs & 2eggs.
LUNCH: 3/4 cup turkey chili w/1/2 0z. NF cheddar or Little can tuna w/ 4 NF
saltines.
SNACK: protein bar or TBL peanut butter on 1/2 apple.
DINNER: 4-5oz chckn brst, green beans or 4-5 oz shrimp and 1/4 c. rice
