Question:
Has anyone gone to Dr. Meyers in Carrollton, Tx?
I have my consulation with Dr. Meyers in about 2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on him. I have checked the profile but it doesn't say much about him. — mgrimplin (posted on May 20, 2003)

HI Mandy - I have not heard of your DR but I had LAP RNY on 3/12/03 by DR
Dirk Rodriguez in Palestine but he is now moved to Dallas - you can find
him on this site and I would trust him with my only child!! Good luck in
your journey!

I had my surgery with Dr.Meyers on 4/30/03 and have lost 28 lbs so far. I
think he is a great surgeon. He was a military surgeon and he just
recently started his own practice. He was the assistant surgeon to
Dr.Alexander since about 1994 and last Sept 2002 he started his own
practice. His nurse (also his wife) is very nice and through. He does his
surgeries at Trinity Medical Center. He does both Lap and Open. Here are
the basics. When you wake up you will have a cathater (sp?) Iv in you
neck, drain tube comming out of your belly. He told me that his open
procedures usually leave a 4 inch scar. Which is good from what I hear.
He did mine Lap and I have 5 incisions. 2 of the incisions are from a
previous gallbladder surgery. Read my profile for more info and email me
with any questions you have.
