Question:
Does anyone know of a doctor in NJ, NY, or PA that accepts Oxford HMO??
I have had consultations with many doctors in NJ and NY and after my consultations I find out they no longer want to participate with insurance companies and have gone out of network and my insurance does not have an out of network option...Please--help!!! I have been on this search for 2 years and for the past 2 yrs ended up at the same place...Any suggestions would be great.. — christine S. (posted on March 20, 2003)

I would everyone! First, the Bariatric Center in Langhorne, Pa
(800)282-0066. they are really great, they send you a video and then
schedule an appointment witht he nearest facility. If that doesn't pan out
then try, Dr. Hoddinott in Bethlehem, Pa (610)867-2371. I hear alot about
him that is all good. And my surgeon is Dr. Richard Boorse with General
Surgical Assoc. He doesn't participate in my ins. but he is taking it. It
might be worth checking into. His number is (877)472-9898. There is also
a Dr. Rovito at Lehigh Valley hosp. But I don't have his number. These
are the tree that I interviewed for my procedure. Good Luck and God Speed.

Drs. Marina Kurian and Mitchell Roslin at Lenox Hill in NYC take Oxford.
They are the pair that did Al Roker. I was very happy with them annd the
hospital. If this would be inconvenient for you, it is still worth it.
THEY are worth the trouble of going ito the city to see them.

Dr. Michael Leitman of Lenox Hill also is an Oxford provider. He's with
the Roslin/Kurian practice.
