Question:

Hi: I was wondering if anyone with approx. the same stats got down to goal weight? If so, when? I'm down (only) 57lbs in 4 months~    — jengrz (posted on March 18, 2003)

Hi, I had my surgery on 1/7/03. I was 232 that day at 5'tall. ( I had lost twenty pounds before surgery.) Today I weighed and was 194. Sometimes I feel like it is slow but it averages out to more than 10 pounds a month. We will get it off. Just keep up the good work!

I'm five feet tall. The week prior to surgery I weighed between 202 and 206. I am now 8 months post op and now weight 130-138 depending on which scale in the house I step on. My doctor's scale seems to agree more with the lower end. I've gone from a size 24 to a size 10 petite. I've only got a few pounds to go to goal weight. The Surgery has worked well for me.

I had an open RNY and gall bladder removed on 3/4/03 and was 230 day of surgery. I am two weeks post-op and am down to 206 but have been walking almost 2 miles per day at a pretty good clip for the last week and on clear liquids only. Hope this helps!!
