Question:
Has anyone 400 lbs. or less lost 200 lbs. or more?

Just curious, I have a lot to lose, and i'm wondering if losing close to 200 lbs. is possible.    — Laydie K. (posted on March 14, 2003)

When I started I was at 400 lbs. After 1 year I know weigh 197 lbs. For me it wasn't all that hard. I ate just meat for the first 75% loss. I did what my doc suggested. No carbs until I hit the 75% loss area. Then I added them in for 1 meal only. The other meals are still just protein. I also work out to help continue the loss. Any questions feel free to ask.

Hi - I started at 426 pounds on 8/15/02 and today weighed in at 158 pounds. That's 268 pounds in a little over a year and a half. I went from a 6X to size 6 which is really cool. I'm still losing, but I don't know how much more I can drop since really it's now just excess skin, the fat is gone. So it can be done, but you really have to be committed, but it is the greatest thing you can do for yourself. Feel free to email me if you want and good luck to you.

Hi. I'm 10 months out, and have lost about 165 lbs. I started at 408 and weigh around 245 now. I have been on a plateau for about 3 months but have lost around 5 lbs this past week. I'm in major need of reconstructive surgery but won't think about it until I am closer to goal! I have appointments with a few surgeons this summer!

Thank you all for responding. I've heard of people over 500 losing more than 300 lbs, but i've never heard of anyone around 400 or less losing, that much. Thanks for all of your posts. I appreciate it.
