Question:
Can someone suggest a protein that doesn't have to be blended.
I just found out the Extreme Pure Pro has been discontinued. It's all I've used for the past year. It is the only kind of protein that doesn't make me gag. I also liked it because I could mix it with a spoon and it wasn't so thick. Does anyone have a suggestion that might be somewhat simular to the Extreme Pure Pro? — Tracy S. Hi,
ProBlend 55 does not need to be blended. It mixes fine with a spoon or in a
shaker cup. It has a mild taste and is not too thick. I use Alpine Vanilla
and Swiss Chocolate.
I purchase mine from vitalady.com, but I have heard that GNC recently
started carrying this brand. Good Luck.

I use Ultra Pure Protein. It does not have to be mixed and tastes good.
Get vanilla or chocolate. I put a pinch of cinnamon in each one. I like
the taste better that way. The vanilla tastes like egg-nog with the
cinnamon. I buy it at Trader Joe's. I don't know if they have a TJ in
Texas. I think it may be a California based store. You can also buy it
online. Good luck in finding something you like. Open RNY 12-10-02 -62.

Hi! I know this isn't really an answer to your question, but it's related
to the mixing. I've found that buying a blender stick has made a world's
difference to me and protein shakes. I also hated having lumpy drinks and
the mess of shaking or using a spoon. I got mine at Walmart for about
$10.00. It's a Hamilton Beach. I mix my protein shake in a plastic
throwaway cup with ice and water with it. It takes just a minute, you just
put the stick down in the cup and turn it on. I go up and down a couple of
times and it's blended smooth. I just unplug and rinse under the faucet.
Wipe with a paper towel and stick the stick back in the cabinet for next
time. Using a full-scale blender was driving me crazy with all the cleaning
and pieces to put back together. This is mucho easier. I love mine! I also
love my protein shakes so much better now! They are like milkshakes almost.
I use ProScore100 powder chocolate.

There are literally hundreds of proteins that will shake up with water. I
use ProScore 100, but prefer it with my hand blender & ice. My shaker
is Stack, presently. I don't know of any other isolates on the market that
taste like juice.

There is a FABULOUS new protein bar called DETOUR. It tastes like a
snickers and I gave all the info to our nutritionist and she said it would
be great. The only problem I have with it, is that she wants us to eat 1
1/2 bars per day to get approximately 50 grams and the rest (she wants 70+
grams per day) from our meals. I eat almost a whole one for breakfast
while I am at work. Granted it takes me four hours but I drink in between.
Then I eat the rest at night. I tried the shakes but I could not tolerate
them so I was thrilled to hear about these! Good luck to you! :-)

I agree that the Detour bars are great and I normally hate bars. I just
ordered 2 boxes of them. The prices around the internet vary so shop for
them in different places. It takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to eat
one for 32 grams of protein. I supplement that with a shake in the
morning. I don't like thick shakes either and go with the fruit ones
because they are like slurpys or smoothies if you add frozen fruit and
blend up well. I also use Designer Protein Natural and you can add splenda
and fruit to it and that is not thick either.

I found the Ultra Pure Protein Shakes by a company called Worldwide to be
quite tolerable....OK, so none of them taste like Nestle Quick, but the
Ultra Pure is tolerable. They come in Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry,
Orange Cremesicle, and Cappuccino. They are pre-mixed in single serving
cans and should be chilled first. I'd suggest going to GNC and trying
whichever flavors you like -- they are $2.79 here in Michigan and have 35
or 40 grams of protein.....THEN if you find one you like, go to
www.juicers.net Click on Worldwide then find the Ultra Pure Protein
Shake.....a case of 24 comes out to only $1.69 or $1.79 each and if you
order over $50, which I think is 2 cases, then shipping is free....much
better than paying $2.79 each at GNC. Good luck to you.
