I like turkey pepperoni. Also, thinly-sliced deli meat (like chicken or turkey) rolled up with a piece of tofu cheese or fat-free cheese. I also tried the cheese cubes that Kraft is selling now as protein snacks, but found they were too high in fat and ummmm, kinda left the train in the station, if ya know what I'm sayin' (so watch the cheese!).

I use my protein shakes as snacks (by the way, the first 3 months, I hated the shakes) I put 6 oz of water or milk in blender, 4-5 strawberries, protein powder and 1/2 cup crushed ice and blend. I have a mug in the freezer and pour it in. It takes just like a regular strawberry milkshake. (you can add vanilla and sweetner to taste) With the protein powder I use this is 30 grams of protein (real meals). I also grab a piece of string cheese, or left over meat when I don't have time to make a shake.

I eat a lot of cheese, regular or cottage cheese (I like it with mandarin oranges or with lemon/lime juice and splenda). Also peanut butter on a couple of crackers or on an apple (assuming you are far enough out). I also like Genisoy soy crisps with salsa. They are much better tasting than the Glenny's brand and come in a couple of different flavors. I don't distinguish between "snacks" and "meals" so I just eat whatever, whenever. That means that mid morning I may eat leftovers or an early lunch just as often as I may eat a piece of cheese and fruit. If you'd like to take a look I have listed on my profile what I ate at 4, 9, and 18 months out. It may give you some ideas. Another good and fairly portable thing is sliced deli meat. And nuts (although they sure pack a caloric punch!). I used to warm up a lean cuisine type meal and eat half the meat mid morning and the other half at lunch time. If you have a fridge at work that may be an option for you, too. Good luck and happy losing!

Peanuts (or other nuts), peanut butter, jerky, soy nuts, string cheese, cottage cheese, hot pepper cheese (one of my favorites), corned beef hash, sardines, canned slamon, tuna, hard boiled eggs are all good, high protein foods. I eat a lot of soy nuts and jerky. I also have a Lactose Free Slim Fast shake for one snack (before everyone starts screaming, this is per my doctor's orders).
