Question:
Has anyone been prescribed Plavix post-op to prevent blood clots?

My doctor does not prescribe Plavix post op, but I am ON Plavix. During my surgery it was an issue because of the effects on the blood and oozing, but post op I have been able to take it from day 1. To be honest, I am kind of glad I am on it as I was really worried about blood clots and pulmonary embolisms after surgery. With plavix your platlets cannot stick, so it is not an issue. Good luck!
