Question:
I find it very difficult to eat the prescribed 2oz of food three times a day

According to your profile you had surgery about a month ago. it is not unusual to have trouble eating food this early. If you can't eat, at least drink alot. You can get protein drinks and shakes to get in your protein at least. Its important that you do so. Eventually you will be able to eat more and more frequently, and believe it or not, get your appetite back!
