Question:
Does anyone have information on lodging in Ypsilanti?

I have contacted BTC three times requesting information on hotels that participate with BTC and provide reduced rates. My surgery was rescheduled from Grand Haven to Ypsilanti, and I have had to cancel our original reservations. My husband is a real fitness buff and I was hoping to find something with a fitness room and pool. It would also be great if the hotel had a restaraunt in or very near by, since he is not one to venture out in unfamiliar areas without my prodding :) Has anyone made reservations or stayed at a participating hotel that has these features? Or does anyone have the list of hotels in Ypsilanti that give you the BTC reduced rates. Thanks so much for any information!    — Stefanie G. (posted on November 1, 2002)

I've never heard of any hotels that give you a reduced rate, but some of the ones that you can call are 1) Comfort Inn on Carpenter Road in Ypsilanti -- they are right next to Bob Evans and across the street from Red Lobster. It's about a 10-12 minute drive from the hospital. 2) Red Roof Inn - 10-15 min. away 3) Fairfield Inn - about 15 minutes away. There's a Mariott about 5 minutes away - they are on either Huron or Whittaker in Ypsilanti. I'm not sure about them having fitness centers though.
