Since insurance generally pays for these I doubt theres much of a resale
market. I have one on a shelf too. I cant think of any other use for the
thing, unless someone wanted a white noise generator.

There's a market on E-Bay, as I did some research there on the selling
prices. My boyfriend was telling a friend of his about my WLS
success...going off high blood pressure meds, discontinuing CPAP machine,
etc. and the guy asked if I wanted to sell my machine. He works with a guy
who needs one and his insurance won't cover it. I'd say maybe try your
local daily newspaper or "shopping gazette." We have one in this
area called the Thrifty Nickel. Also, if you work for a larger company,
maybe an employee newsletter?Could be worth it! - Anna

If you can't find anyone to buy it, I know that most colleges that have a
Respiratory Therapy program would love to have it. It should be a tax
deduction too. Also, some home care agencies may have a list of people that
cannot afford one, and would also take a donation.

I AM A SLEEP TECH. MOST OF THE TIME YOU COULD CALL THE HOME MEDICAL SUPPLY
COMPANY WHERE YOU PURCHASED THE MACHINE AND THEY WILL TRY TO SELL IT FOR
YOU OR OFFER TO BUY IT BACK. ALSO CALL THE FACILITY WHERE YOU DID YOU
SLEEP STUDY. WE DO PATIENTS ALL THE TIME WHO IS NOT COVERED WITH INSURANCE
THAT WILL BUY A MACHINE STRAIGHT OUT. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE YOUR NAME AND
NUMBER SO THEY CAN SELL IT FOR YOU. UNFORTUNATELY YOU MIGHT NOT GET NEAR
THE AMOUNT YOU PAID OUT FOR IT BUT YOU CAN MAKE SOME OF YOUR MONEY BACK.
