Hey Tina. I have been there. At around 6 mo post op, I was down 75% of my
excess. I plateaued for close to 6 weeks. I was sure that I was done and
that was it. I started fluctuating up the scales and thought that I was
doomed. The weight loss did pick back up, but at a very slow rate. Being
so close to goal it is healthy for your loss to slow down. If you were
losing 10 lbs. a month being so close to goal, you would wonder if you
would eventually become underweight. I know, the slow loss just isn't as
fun is it? Since my 6 week plateau from H*LL, I have lost 16 lbs. It has
taken 4.5 months to do that, which is less than 4 lbs. a month, but I am
still getting there. My last plateau was 4 weeks, and again I thought that
I was done, but thankfully started to lose again. What a ride!

Tina, I am almost in the same boat, but mine slowed significantly after 6
months post-op. I am now at 7 mo post op and have played with the same
pound for the past month! I expected it to slow down but take
encouragement from those who are further out who say that it will continue
to go down just very slowly. In the meantime, I am trying to increase my
water and exercise!

Same problem here. I only lost 6 lbs. this month. 8 last month. only 3
months post op. I may be the one that this surgery will not work very
well. I understand it is a tool, but I am quite depressed and cry a lot.

I'm just three months post op... but I've done a lot of reading here... the
original poster and everyone here doesn't say what they're eating, if they
are exercising.. orhow much protein you're getting. I'd keep track of what
you're eating... (I use fitday... ) and up the protein, the water and the
exercise... and watch out for salt.. it will help you to hold on to
water... I know.. I'm in the honeymoon period.. and its easy for me to
say.. but those are the things everyone suggests... if you're not doing
them already. Good luck.
