Ahhhh.... what's the question? Now I have a headache. lol ;)
Serously, post op headaches are normal. I almost never have headaches and
boy did I really suffer with "tons of them" for around the first
6 months. I don't think they are from the surgery itself as I've had 14
surgeries and WLS is the ONLY one that gave me headaches. Perhaps it's all
the malnutrician and such until our bodies get use to it??? I don't know.

hi, I also suffer from headaches. I had them preop. But they are alot
worse post op. I think the previous poster is right, We dont' get the
nutrition that we used to. I am now on Phrenilin, which is a medicine for
headaches. I could eat a bottle of tylenol and it would not phase my
headaches......... Good luck..... Open RNY 10/4/01 -121

Headaches have always been a problem for me, pre-op and now post-op. The
only thing I've been worried about is my fluid intake. Dehydration is a
common cause of headaches also. I would also recommend talking to your
doctor. good luck...Laprny 8\02

It could be low iron levels. Consult your doctor. I'm anemic and low iron
levels are a problem for me and causes headaches.

Just a thought on the headaches. I cannot drink things such as crystal
light. The aspertame give me terrible headaches. Was glad I found this
out when I was still pre-op.

I have heard that being in large ketosis can cause headaches. If you are on
a low or no carb diet, and are producing really large ketones...that could
be the reason. I like to stay in the moderate range of ketosis, and as soon
as I am in the large range...I get headaches. Try using a ketone urine
strip if you haven't already and see where you are at. You might try adding
a few good carbs like a potato and see if it helps.

Was your normal fluid intake interrupted by your schedule change? When I'm
overwhelmed with work, and do not move for hours on end, I get a dull thud
type headache, but if I can tear myself away, sometimes only a few oz of
water relieves it.
