Question:
CAN ANYONE PLEASE GIVE ME INFO ON DR. BURROWS IN GA

I WAS ALL PSYCHED W/ DR. CHAMPION, DID MY PAPERWORK, THE LETTER OF MEDICAL NEC. WAS SENT TO INSURANCE (UHC). GOT MY FIRST DENIAL AND THEN AFTER SOME WORK, THEY ARE LIFTING THE EXCLUSION W/ MY EMPLOYER'S HELP AND NOW THE SURGERY IS A COVERED PROCEDURE UNDER MY PLAN IF I USE NETWORK. DR. CHAMPION IS NOT IN ANY NETWORK. I HAD MADE A CONSULTATION APPT W/ BURROWS SEVERAL MONTHS BACK AND IT IS COMING UP (SEPT 5). HE IS IN NETWORK, SO..... I HAVE BUNCHES OF QUESTIONS. IS HE GOOD, WILL I HAVE TO REPEAT THE STUFF DONE W/ DR. CHAMPION, DOES HE REQUIRE ADD'L TEST (UPPER GI, EKG, PHYSCH EVAL, ETC.) DOES HE DO LAP RNY, WHAT HOSPITALS DOES HE USE, HOW LONG BEFORE SURGERY DATE, ETC. I KNOW I CAN ASK THESE AT THE APPT, BUT I WANT REAL ANSWERS FROM REAL PEOPLE. THANKS SO MUCH. I have heard of both these docs, and both seem to have good reps. I myself had surgery with dr john daly from the ga surgery clinic at northside. I feel that dr. daly is hands down the best surgeon in the local area. Just one more option for ya. but the two surgeons you have already chosen are both capable surgeons with good reps.

Funny you should ask this question....My sister-n-law is having her surgery with Dr. Burrowes this Friday. She had experienced the EXACT same situation as you and was referred to him in May. In fact, her first consultation was the same date as my surgery (May 15th). She LOVES him and his entire office staff! They were able to use some of her pre-op tests that she already had, but I am not quite sure which ones. Good luck on your surgery and I am sure you will not be disappointed!
