Question:
Down 99 lbs in 1 yr 10 months-
My surgery was October 17th 2001. I started at 347, and am Now at 248. God knows how grateful, I am that I even lost 99 pounds. I just thought 9 months in I would have lost more. Its sounds as if I am complaining, but I wanted to at least reach 200 by my one year anniversary. I am guessing this is not going to happen, since I am stuck at 248-250. Since surgery I feel I spend just as much money on diet book as I did pre-op. Last month I bought (DR Shapiro's) Picture Perfect weight loss 30 day plan. Today, I bought (DR Atkins) NEW Diet Revolution. I hit so many plateaus, I have no clue to what else to do. I think I do pretty well most of the time. And when I do cheat, its nothing compared to pre-op and very seldom. I am wondering being 9 month our, am I done losing? Will I ever get to 200? Good or bad, thanks for responding. — Lucy B. What kind of surgery did you have? What was your post-op nutrition plan
like? Portions size, protein g per day, water oz per day, stuff like that.

How much excersize? Do you keep track of water and nutrition on Fitday.com?
I would try to answer those questions which you pose but my crystal ball is
broken ;) If you answer what is going with you it would give people
insight. Good Lux

I am almost 8 months out Open Distal RNY and have lost 89lbs and tons of
inches. I gain and lose the same 2-3lbs sor a week or two at a time...my
biggest WL was the first 6 weeks...maybe 35 ish pounds, so as you can see
monthly WL has been between 5-10 lbs..nothing major, but slow and steady, I
did start at 278...you had about 80 some pounds more, but I still think at
9 months out you are doing great...remember you have more time to still
lose!

You are doing great! Some lose faster than others, that's okay. You are
still doing great. Try not to compare yourself to other WLS people.
Instead, compare you to your old self. You lost 99 pounds! Way to go. Just
keep drinking water and exercise. One hundred pounds in less than a year is
something to brag about =)
