Question:
Has anyone used the Doctors in the Central DuPage Bariatric Treament Center?

I have not used Central DuPage BTC, but my PCP is part of Centra and he advised me not to. I told him that I was going through the Wish Center in Downers Grove and he was very pleased because he believes that they are the best in the Chicago land area. I will tell you that their time frames seem to be shorter, (First appointment May 9th, surgery June 27th - although I was fast tracked.) And they do literally 100's of these each year. Each doctor is very skilled, and kind. Much of the staff is former patients and everyone friendly, professional and skilled. Before you proceed, I would suggest you at least go to a Wish center seminar and speak with your own primary care physician for their recommendations.

I haven't heard of the Central DuPage Bariatric Center. I had the surgery at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Belvidere - it is about an hours ride from Chicago. I highly recommend them - this is all they do - five days a week. My doctor highly recommended them and my experience was fantastic.

Donna makes a really good point. It is interesting how a group can have a similar sounding name and not be the same group. All the more reason to be very careful about the surgeon you are using. Remember you are shopping for a very valuable service from people who work for you. Don't put less effort into life chaning surgery than you would buying a car. What could be more important.
