Question:
What does 150lbs look like?
I realize I should not be concerned with the outward appearance, but I am. The charts I have found for ideal weight say I should be at 150lbs, and that sounds great. I just want to know what does that look like for a person at 5'8 1/2". Does anyone know of a site that will show photos of ideal bodies? I love our photo gallery, but the heights are not mentioned. Although I have not had my surgery yet (open rny 8/6/02), a friend of mine
is about 1 year post op (started at 300+) and she is 5'7" and now
wieghs 150 lbs. She looks great, size 8 and the tone is starting to take
place. She says she wouldn't wear a bikini, but looks good in a 1 piece
suit. Good Luck!!

OK, this is fun! Try www.virtualmodel.com. You can enter your info and get
an online version of yourself in a bikini at any weight. You can even use
them at some stores to "try on" clothes.

I LOVED the virualmodel.com page...thanks for putting it on here. As for
how does 150 lbs. look? I'll check with my mother tonight...she gave birth
to me and I'm quite sure I came out weighing 150 lbs. :)
All kidding aside...the virtualmodel.com page will help you to see
it...it's kind of cool.

Hi Shiela,
I'm scheduled for Surgery on Aug 14 too! Hurray! I'm having an open RNY
distal. I'm 5'9 and would love to weigh 150. I have a friend who is 5'9
and weighs 170 and she wears a 12-14 and looks very good. One summer, for
about one minute, I weighed 172 and wore a size 12. You should look VERY
good at 150! There are a couple of tall women in the profiles and they all
look great! You have to go through and read them all and look for their
heights. I know, because I did it! It IS hard to imagine what you will look
like but very inspiring to see possible results. Go look up Autumn St
Armand- she is 6'2 and stunning at 190! All the best to you in your new
journey!

I just went to virtualmodel.com and filled out a profile for me. Its
fairly accurate, except there was no button or options to add saggy
skin...other than that, it was me!
