Question:
Has anyone experienced having these surgeries at the same time?

I am having a revision of previous Open RNY-distal to BPD/DS & Hystorectomy at the same time. I am 44 and had an Open RNY-distal back in 8/99. I have had 4 C-Sections. I was 345 and lost down to 218. I am now 262 and growing. Since I need an full-blown hystorectomy I asked Dr. Elariny, my gastric bypass doctor, if he would be willing to perform a BPD/DS at the same time as my hystorectomy and he said yes. I will be scheduled for surgery sometime in April or May and the surgery will be performed at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. I will be using Medicare as my primary insurance and Tricare prime as the second. Has anyone had problems with these surgeries and these insurance companies? Thank you.    — Jody S.
