Hey- Don't worry it grows back. I am 5 months post op and before surgery
had long thick hair. At around 3 months post op I started to lose my hair.
I was using Nioxin Shampoo and Biotin since before surgery and still was
losing hair. I also take 3 flinstones a day and make sure I always get my
protein in. My PCP told me that there is nothing that you can do for it. It
is how your boday reacts to the stress of surgery sometimes. My bloodwork
is actually better now than before surgery. I did cut my hair off to my
shouldars and thought that this helped. But I did it more to make my hair
look thicker than anything. But I don't think cutting it helped to slow
down becuase I noticed Sunday that I have little 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch
sprigs of hair all over my head!! I also had a very dry scalp during this
process. I got some selsun blue and use it 2 a week and then got some Heat
activated shampoo, conditioner and Hair spray. This really helped, or I say
it did. It could have all been just a coincidence. Just get some mousse and
hair spray and walk around with you head held high!
