Hi,
I gained two pounds the first two days I was on soft foods. I wouldn't
have known but I had to go back to my surgeon to have a spot checked on my
incision and the nurse weighed me - I had just weighed two days previously.
Anyway, I was upset about it and my surgeon told me not to worry - that it
was very normal - after all I had been getting practically no calories for
almost two weeks and then I started food. He asks his patients not to
weigh between office visits so I have no idea how I'm doing now - that was
2 weeks post-op (about 6 weeks ago) and I don't see him again til February
8. But I would try to stay off the scales as much as possible - they can
really mess with your head - and not worry about those 3 pounds. If you
weigh at home, try not to weigh more than once a week - once a month would
probably be better. Also - were both weights on the same scale - same time
of day - same apparel?
That can make a difference also.
Best of luck with your new life.

If you eat something that's pretty salty that too can make
you retain water & add the pounds. When I weigh, I weigh in
the morning with no clothes on. Also drink TONS of water--
that will help weight loss too.
