You probably won't be able to find a surgeon that accepts
Medicaid/Medicare. Thanks to our government telling people that have it to
tell them of any doctors that they feel aren't doing everything right.
Doctors are refusing to accept the insured because they aren't willing to
take the chance of having someone turn them in just because they are angry
with the doc. Good luck, I hope that you find one that is still willing to
accept your insurance.

Hi, I do not live in NC, but I looked on this site and found a lot of
people that had surgery in NC with Medicaid and Medicare. Here's what you
do: At the top of this page is a menu. Click on Local Help. Than when
the map comes up click on NC. Than click on Insurers. It is in
Alphabetical order so scroll down to Medicare and Medicaid and you willl
find all th epeople who had the surgery and their doc. Hopefully that
helps!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck

Click on the heading "insurers" then click on the NC part of the
map. you will find people there who have used Medicare and Medicaid in your
state.

I don't know what your state, North Carolina, has but New York State has
another option. I was on Medicaid and there is something called "Blue
Choice Option" that ONLY people on Medicaid can get. I decided to get
that so hopefully I would have a better (easier) time finding a surgeon to
accept my insurance. Technically it is Medicaid but somehow it is tied in
with Blue Cross. However Blue Choice Option put me through hell in order to
get approval so maybe I'd been better off with just Medicaid. Perhaps you
could go to a Social Services Office (or where ever it is you can apply for
welfare). Not to get on welfare but to see if they have something like my
state does that is tied in with Blue Cross. States vary in their services
so you would have to check.
