Question:
Hi all, I was wondering, is anyone out there from Columbus Ohio and before beginning
the surgery procedure (psyche eval, dietician, etc) have any of you gone through the 12 week long LEARN program?? If so, could you possibly tell me a bit about it, was it beneficial in any way etc. My e-mail is [email protected] thanks. — hdziema (posted on November 14, 2001)

I am from Columbus, but had surgery in Mich. No program like that for me.
You have to answer questions right, and why are they sending you to this?

I'm from columbus ohio and if I had elected to have my sugery done at OSU
hospital I would have gone through all of that but instead I'm having it
done at the bariatric treatment center and I don't have to go through any
of that

Heather, I had my lap RnY through the OSU program. They changed the
program after I had my surgery, but I believe that it is a good program
because you must "get" the principles for the greatest likelihood
of success. I think that the greatest chance for failure lies "not in
our stars, but in ourselves." Therefore, the learning how to use this
(power) tool has to occur before you have the surgery. The LEARN program
will help you to do that. Keep smilin', no matter what your choice is.
